Mitosh ("Eat" in Cree Nehiyaw) was founded in 2018 by Ian Gladue of Wabasca's Bigstone Cree Nation in Alberta, Canada (Treaty 8 Territory). A passionate chef, Ian was inspired by his mother to share traditional foods with the world. Mitosh is dedicated to providing amazing, authentic experiences, spreading love and making a positive impact. They are dedicated to using only clean, natural, local ingredients, ensuring the highest quality, nutritionally dense products!
PANSAWAN is also known as 'dry meat' and has been a traditional staple in the diet of Aborginal First Nations people since the beginning of the Turtle Island. During the cold winters season, Natives of North America would have survived on this 'dry meat' as it would stay naturally preserved and nutrient rich over many moons. We have maintained the natural integrity of this product with our inherited ways of DRYING and SMOKING this PREMIUM quality meat.
