Lakota Girl and Her Doll
Katie Blue Thunder, age 8. The clothes worn by Katie and her doll were carefully crafted using leather, beads, fabric and fringes. Most dolls were made by elderly women as gifts for their granddaughters. The Lakota were native to both North Dakota and South Dakota.
