CONTEST DETAILS:
This contest will run from September 9th to October 2, 2026
We are pleased to announce that Western Varieties is now Indigenous Owned. In the spirit of National
Truth & Reconciliation & Every Child Matters we are returning our very popular Colouring Contest. This
marks our 5th contest with schools in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia
competing. This year’s drawings depict Inuit life and Traditions.
We would invite every participant to show their individuality in selecting the colors and add their own creative spin in the pictures they submit.
Prizes will be awarded in each of 4 age groups: Headstart/Preschool to 4 Yrs, 5-8 Yrs, 9-11 Yrs and 12-13 Yrs where winners can select any Toy from our Website. Prizes will be awarded for 14+ category where winners can select any in stock headphone, earbud or speaker from our Website.
TO ENTER:
Print the picture of your appropriate age group by clicking on the age links below. A new window will open with the photo, right click the photo and choose "print." You may need to change your printer settings from portrait to landscape to print the full picture.
Make sure that the following information is included with the photo:
- Name of School or Organization
- Province Abbreviation
- Their First Name and First Initial of Last Name
- Their Age
Completed pictures can be scanned and emailed to Paul@westernvarieties.ca or sent via Canada Post to:

Please make sure to allow enough time for postal delivery. The winners will be selected after review of all nominations from our panel of judges. The winners will be contacted directly by one of our judges and their artwork will be displayed in our store.
